Genshin Impact Bounties: Your Weekly Guide to Reputation Riches
So, you’re in Teyvat. You’re doing your daily commissions. Maybe you’re fishing for Ornamental Fish. Digital pets are great in your teapot, right? But wait! Genshin Impact Bounties exist. These challenges can boost your reputation. Unlock rewards while hunting marked enemies for fame and fortune. Exciting, right?
Unlocking the Bounty Bonanza
First, you can’t stroll into any region demanding bounties. Teyvat has rules, people! Unlock the City Reputation system first. You need to hit Adventure Rank 25. This acts as your entry ticket into regional reputation.
Once past that point, nations have unique requirements for bounties. Here’s a region breakdown:
- Mondstadt: The City of Freedom is not so free for reputation unlocks. Achieve Reputation Level 2 here before bounty boards become available. You need to charm those Knights of Favonius!
- Inazuma: In the land of Electro and eternity, talk with Madarame Hyakubei. Chat with him to unlock the Inazuma Reputation menu. Quests, requests, and bounties await in Inazuma. More info on Game Rant’s guide to Inazuma Reputation.
- Sumeru: The realm of Dendro and deserts only needs you to hit Sumeru Reputation Level 2. Achieve this, and bounties emerge. No fighting Ruin Guards here.
- Fontaine: Ready to wade into justice? First, progress through the Archon Questline. Complete Act II of the Fontaine Archon Quest. Afterward, find Euphrasie, Fontaine’s Reputation NPC, at the Steambird sipping on something fancy.
- Natlan: Natlan has its own unlock needs. Navigate the main storyline again. Finish the ‘Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame’ quest from Chapter 5, Act 1 Natlan Archon Quest. After this fiery quest, Natlan’s reputation system welcomes you. For more, Eurogamer has a guide on Natlan Reputation.
Bounty Hunting 101: How to Snag Those Rewards
You’ve unlocked bounties! Congratulations! But how do you do them? It’s simple. Let’s assume you’re starting in Mondstadt, because it’s classic Genshin.
After reaching Reputation Level 2 there, head to the Reputation NPC, which is Hertha. Chat with her, and you can accept bounties. Click and the hunt begins!
In Mondstadt and Liyue, there’s a mini-detective game. Use your Elemental Sight. Activate it and search the bounty area for three clues. Look for glowing spots highlighting something related to your target. Footprints, disturbed terrain, or perhaps a hilichurl upset about cabbage theft await. Interact with all three clues, like a scavenger hunt where winning means battling a tougher monster.
When you successfully gather clues, the bounty target appears. Expect a stronger foe, perhaps a vengeful Ruin Guard or a powerful slime ready for a fight. Defeat this target and show them who’s tough. Bring your best team; these baddies hit hard.
Triumphant? Excellent! Just remember to claim your reward afterward. Return to the Reputation NPC who gave you the bounty. Talk again and collect your bounty rewards. Simple as that.
The Spoils of War: Bounty Rewards
What do you gain from monster hunting and clue-seeking? Obviously, Reputation EXP! Completing bounties grants 60, 80, 100, or 120 Reputation EXP, depending on its difficulty and region. This EXP helps raise the reputation level for the nation or tribe where you accepted it. It unlocks various region-specific rewards like crafting recipes for Fontaine’s weapons, as Game Rant reveals, gadgets, and even wings within the skies. Plus, bragging rights!
Bounty Limitations: Don’t Get Greedy
Before you dive into bounty hunting full-time, a catch exists. Bounties cannot be endless. You have a weekly limit. You can complete a total of 3 bounties each week. And here’s the twist: this limit is shared across all nations. So if you complete 3 in Mondstadt, you can’t do more that week, even if Liyue beckons. Choose wisely to boost your reputation.
Tracking Your Targets
Tracking your weekly bounty count remains simple. Just open the Reputation menu for any region. It shows how many bounties you’ve completed and how many remain. No need for spreadsheets or carrier pigeons!
Bounties engage you with Genshin Impact’s world beyond main storylines and daily tasks. They offer a fun challenge rewarding you while exploring different regions, increasing reputation and unlocking cool items. Next time in Teyvat, consider picking up some bounties. The time spent is rewarding – you might even enjoy being a detective searching for hilichurl footprints.
