Zipping Around Inazuma: A Guide to Teleport Waypoints (and Not Getting Lost!)
You set sail for Inazuma, the land of purple energy and unique samurai. Congratulations! You traded Mondstadt’s breezes and Liyue’s earth for something more electrified. Inazuma is beautiful, but vast. Nobody wants to hoof it from one side of Narukami Island to another. That’s where Teleport Waypoints help.
Think of waypoints as your fast-travel network. It’s like the subway system of Teyvat. Instead of sickening smells and crowded trains, you experience instant travel across stunning landscapes. Sounds much more pleasant.
Before You Think About Teleporting: Inazuma Entry Requirements
Before dreaming of zipping across Inazuma, a few hurdles await. Picture a bouncer at the Inazuma VIP club. You can’t just waltz in. Genshin Impact requires some prerequisites.
- Adventure Rank 30 or higher: This is your entry ticket. Not AR 30? Get grinding! Explore, do quests, open chests. Leveling up is like getting access to ride cool roller coasters at an amusement park. There’s no height requirement; just Adventure Rank.
- Archon Quest ‘The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia’: Start this Inazuma Archon Quest at Chapter 2, Act 1. This quest invites you to Inazuma. Progress at least to the “Ritou Escape Plan” part. Inazuma kinda traps you in Ritou until you prove you’re not just after free snacks, good as they may be.
Essentially, Genshin wants to ensure you are serious about exploring before you roam free. It’s like showing a passport at customs, with more elemental energy.
Waypoint Basics: Turning Blue is Good
Let’s talk about waypoints. You’ll see glowing structures across the map. When you first find a waypoint, it looks dull and reddish-brown, like a dormant volcano waiting for activation.
To activate a waypoint, approach and interact. Instantaneously, BAM! It glows blue. This color means ‘go,’ ‘travel,’ and ‘convenience’. Red means ‘unusable’ and ‘you need to explore more’. Activated waypoints stay blue, acting as beacons for teleportation, always ready for your next escape from a Ruin Hunter.
Inazuma’s Special Sauce: Thunder Barriers and Electrogranum
Inazuma wouldn’t be Inazuma without extra challenges. Forget gentle breezes; you face Thunder Barriers. These purple walls block access, like an invisible velvet rope at an exclusive electric club. Walking through without the right ‘key’ equals getting zapped in a very unfun way.
The ‘key’ to bypass these barriers? Electrogranum. Say it: E-lec-tro-gra-num. These wisps of Electro energy allow passage past the purple walls. To get one, you find a Thunder Sakura Bough.
Thunder Sakura Boughs: Your Electrogranum Dispensers
These plants are unique to Inazuma and are not just pretty; they serve as Electrogranum dispensers. Instead of coins, you exchange your time and some puzzle-solving skills.
Some Boughs dispense Electrogranum right away. Approach and interact, and poof! You get it. Others may be inactive, refusing to yield until you solve a nearby puzzle or defeat nearby enemies. It’s like they challenge you: “Prove your worth!” Usually, “worthy” means “can you beat up these Hilichurls?”
Once you snag an Electrogranum from an active Bough, a wispy Electro energy follows for a limited time. With it, you can walk through Thunder Barriers like they’re curtains. The Electrogranum expires; don’t dawdle admiring the purple scenery inside the barrier. Time is essential when borrowing nature’s electricity.
Portable Waypoints: Inazuma Edition (Slightly Less Portable)
Ah, Portable Waypoints, handy items for explorers. These gadgets allow temporary waypoint creation wherever you choose. They work well for quick travel points near tricky domains or scenic views. Craft one, add it to your inventory, deploy it, and voila! Instant teleport point.
However, Inazuma has rules about Portable Waypoints. You can only have one active at a time here. No creating a whole network of portable fast travel options. The game won’t allow two Portable Waypoints in Inazuma simultaneously. Inazuma says, “We appreciate your effort, but we don’t need more waypoints.” Or maybe “One temporary waypoint is enough chaos for this electrified nation.”
So while Portable Waypoints are helpful in Inazuma, keep the one-at-a-time rule in mind. Plan your placements and teleport efficiently. After all, you’re exploring an electro-charged world full of wonders, and those waypoints are keys to unlocking it all. Now go forth and conquer Inazuma! Each teleport gets you closer!
