Exploring the Rarest Zelda Amiibo: What Sets Them Apart?
The Legend of Zelda amiibo are available once again on My Nintendo Store! This was this call to action from the My Nintendo Store UK Twitter account, and it certainly grabbed our attention.
Not only are there a bunch of Zelda amiibo back available in the UK and Ireland, but there are a ton of incredibly rare figures now back down to just £12.99. This includes some fan favorites from Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Majora’s Mask, and more.
As some of these have been out of print for years, they were typically going for £20-£50 or more on re-sell sites like eBay. This restock is great news for anyone who is missing a few amiibo from their collection or even those who are just starting theirs since Tears of the Kingdom launched (that amiibo is also available for £19.99 at Amazon UK right now as well).
We’ll leave a handy link just below for anyone who wants to browse through or buy some of the amiibo that are back in stock. We really do fully recommend you consider picking up a couple, as once these go there’s a high chance we won’t see another print cycle again for several years.

Top 5 Most Valuable Zelda Amiibo in 2024:
- The Guardian Amiibo: The Guardian amiibo has been pretty hard to come by since it first released. It commands about double its original asking price on sites like eBay. Most of the amiibo that have been offered over the years feature a static pose, but the Guardian amiibo is unique in that its arms are actually posable. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the figure unlocks a spirit based on the Guardian robots. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players have a chance to obtain Guardian weapons and Ancient Cores. In Tears of the Kingdom, the Guardian amiibo can unlock the exclusive Ancient Sheikah Fabric for the Paraglider.
- Toon Link and Zelda: Manufactured in 2016, their current value is $160-$200.
- The Champions of Breath of the Wild: Released in 2017, this amiibo has a current value of $100+.
- The Wolf Link Bundle: Also from 2016, it is valued at $150+, or $50 without the game bundle. The rarity of these amiibos often lies in their packaging and limited production.
- The Legend of Zelda Amiibo Collection: The Legend Of Zelda Amiibo Collection Figure Set Of 28 is currently priced at $899.99 on eBay, with a 24% price drop below its 90-day average.
- Zelda Legend Series Amiibo 8 Figure Set: This rare limited edition set is available for $247.68 on eBay.
- The Legend Of Zelda Amiibo 15 Figure Set Collector’s Edition: This set is listed at a high price of $258.81 on eBay.
Note: Nintendo’s line of amiibo figures has been going strong for nearly a decade now. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has produced some of the best figures over the years, especially the Guardian amiibo.
How to Track Down the Rarest Zelda Amiibo: Tips and Resources
Tracking down the rarest Zelda amiibo can be a rewarding yet challenging experience. Here are some tips and resources to help you in your collection journey:
- Start with Your Favorites: Focus on the characters you love the most to make your collection personally meaningful.
- Keep an Eye on Limited Editions: Limited-edition amiibo are often released in small quantities. Be sure to act quickly when they become available.
- Shop Around: Check multiple retailers, both online and offline, to find the best deals and availability.
- Online Collector Communities: Join forums and social media groups to connect with other collectors and learn about upcoming releases.
- Preorders: Remember, you can always cancel preorders. If you see figurines for preorder that you or a friend don’t yet own, go for it!
After finding your favorites, understanding the rarity levels can also aid your search:
- Rarity Definitions:
- Common: Incredibly easy to find at MSRP, available at nearly every retail outlet that sells amiibo.
- Semi-Common: May take more than one store to find, but still relatively easy to purchase at MSRP.
- Uncommon: May not be in stock at most retailers currently, but can still be found with a bit of patience.
- Rare Figures: Figures like Wolf Link and limited-edition releases are often considered rare.
Additionally, be aware of restock strategies:
- Though it may seem tempting to resort to eBay and face scalper prices, remember that Nintendo will eventually restock certain characters.
- This approach has helped to regain trust from collectors and lower the resale value of hard-to-find figures.
Finally, studying past releases can give insights into trends:
- For example, Wave 4 was particularly difficult to collect because of insufficient stock and poor communication from Nintendo. Jigglypuff preorders sold out rapidly, and figures like Robin and Lucina became difficult to find as retailer stock was minimal.
- Currently, characters like Zelda and Luigi are more widely circulated compared to Captain Falcon, Pit, and Little Mac, which are reported to be rarer.
Happy collecting!
