Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Available on Nintendo Switch?

No, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is not available on Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch most likely won’t be able to run Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, due to it being a last-gen console, and Valhalla being a more advanced game requiring better specifications.

Additionally, players outside of Japan will not be able to access and play the game on Nintendo Switch. Worldwide, the game will be available on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox.

So far, there are the Ezio Saga (II, Brotherhood, Revelations), III, IV Black Flag, and Rogue available on the Switch. This leaves out titles such as Assassin’s Creed 1, Liberation, the 2 DS games, the PSP game, and the rest that were on PS4—likely too much for the Switch to handle—such as Unity, Syndicate, Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

What Platforms Is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Currently on?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently available on the following platforms:

Will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Be Released for Switch 2?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Release Information for Switch 2

Ubisoft is developing Switch 2 ports for several titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Mirage, Odyssey, and Origins. Notably, they plan to bundle Odyssey and Origins together.

According to leaker Nate the Hate, Ubisoft has significant plans for the Switch 2. In August 2024, Nash Weedle announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows would be available on the Switch 2 around its launch, along with ports of several other Assassin’s Creed games.

Importantly, while credible rumors indicate a Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the experience might differ from the original. Ports from PlayStation and Xbox to the Switch 2 may involve simplification of graphics and control limitations, which could result in a less immersive, but more compact experience.

Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is expected to focus on stealth, parkour, and assassinations, returning to the series’ roots. The Switch 2 version of Mirage is said to showcase the console’s capabilities while approaching those of Sony and Microsoft systems.

As of now, further official announcements regarding the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for the Switch 2 are anticipated.

What Other Assassin’s Creed Games Are on Nintendo Switch?

Here is a lineup of Assassin’s Creed games available on Nintendo Switch:

  • Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection – Available Now
  • Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered
  • Assassin’s Creed: Rebel Collection (includes AC4: Black Flag and Rogue)
  • Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery DS – Released on 17th Nov 2009 (NA), 20th Nov 2009 (UK/EU)

Note: The Ezio Collection for Nintendo Switch was released on 17th Feb 2022 (both UK/EU and NA).

In total, there are 3 main games available on the Switch for this franchise.

Is There a Physical Edition of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for Switch?

Yes, there is a physical edition of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla available for the Nintendo Switch. Specifically, the Nintendo Switch Standard Edition was released on Feb 17, 2022, by Ubisoft.
