The Parametric Transformer is a mysterious artifact found in the World Quest Tianqiu Treasure Trail. This gadget is essential for transmuting items in Genshin Impact. It is an easy way to turn your unwanted items into valuable resources! You acquire the Parametric Transformer by completing the Tianqiu Treasure Trail quest, which unlocks at Adventure Rank 31.

Transmutation Process

To begin the transmutation, you need to:

  • Choose items until you reach a total quality of 150.
  • Use Elemental Attacks to generate enough energy for the transmutation.

The Parametric Transformer will transform common or rare items up to the value of 150 points. Common items are worth fewer points, while rarer ones are worth more. Once fully charged, the device disappears and releases a set of 20 items, which include:

It has been observed that the most likely number of sets is between 5 and 7, with a rare chance of receiving 8-10 sets. The type of items obtained depends on the materials used. Notably, the number of sets does not appear to be affected by the quality of materials used in the transmutation.

Usage Restrictions

Keep in mind that:

  • The Parametric Transformer can only be used or interacted with while not in combat state.
  • The deployed transformer will be dismissed if the player moves too far or aggroes a nearby enemy.
  • Fuel used will not be returned but kept for the next deployment.

Additionally, you can use the Parametric Transformer only once in seven days. It goes into cooldown once you claim its rewards. Although you do get the ‘Transmutation Nuclide’ achievement after the first use, granting you 5 Primogems, the Parametric Transformer itself does not drop Primogems; it only yields ascension materials, talent books, EXP books, Mora, or Enhancement Ores.

Recommended Strategies

It’s advisable to use Common (Gray) items for transmutation, as Uncommon (Green) items provide the same quality. Rarer items are better utilized in other ways. For ease, utilize resources that are easy to get, like items sold at General Goods stores. Though it will cost some Mora, the returns in better resources make it worthwhile!
