When you talk to Branch Master Lan, inquire about the rumor of a treasure found by an adventurer in the vicinity of Tianqiu Valley. Lan will inform you that no one has successfully unearthed the treasure yet, but she will mark its location on your map after you convince her.
Step 2: Defeating the Monsters
Once you’ve arrived at the location, you’ll encounter a mob of Hilichurls. Defeat them to obtain a Treasure Map which leads to Dunyu Ruins.
Afterward, carefully investigate the surroundings, examining the nearby pile of books and scrolls to obtain a Strange Note.
Step 3: Following the Treasure Map
The Treasure Map indicates that the next location is in Dunyu Ruins. Follow the map to find the treasure spots.
There are a total of three locations you need to check:
- The first location is behind a small cliff, guarded by Fatui enemies.
- The second location is near a flight of stairs; you will need to dig for the treasure and defeat the resulting Hydro Slimes to obtain it.
- The third location is across the river from the second treasure, located inside a fence, close to a lone Dendro slime.
Step 4: Completing the Quest
After discovering all three spots, you will obtain a Strange Box and must report back to Lan.
Lan notes that there’s an adventurer who found a clue to treasure in Tianqiu Valley but struggled to locate it. The Guild offers a reward for anyone who can solve this mysterious clue.
To complete the Tianqiu Treasure Trail, remember to:
- Travel to the waypoint provided by Lan.
- Slay any monsters found at the designated area.
Lastly, players must venture to a nearby peak across the Luhua Pool, just west of Guili Plains, where the treasure is buried at the highest peak of Cuijue Slope, marked by a shovel stuck in the ground.

To face the Luxurious Chest, follow this sequence for the torch puzzle:
- Hit in this order: Bottom-left torch, Bottom-right, Top point, Bottom-left, Top-right, Top-left, Bottom-left.
- Get the puzzle to a state where only one torch is lit. Ensure that there are 2 torches opposite it which connect to this torch via the line drawn below. Light up any one torch first and then light up the other, this should solve it.
- If one is lit, you can hit 3 then 4 or the other way around.
- Also, aim to reach a situation where a triangle of three torches is unlit. This means only two, which are parallel to each other, are lit with two unlit on one side of this line. Light the torch connecting the inner triangle torches in the center and then light any torch from the outer triangle.

Additionally, players must reach Character Rank 31 or above to receive the Tianqiu Treasure Trail Quest. This quest was introduced with the 1.3 Update.
Once you receive the quest, completing the Tianqiu Treasure Trail requires traveling to the waypoint provided by Lan and defeating the monsters present there. Please note that if you attempt the quest in cooperative mode and collect the treasures, you may encounter progress issues. If you don’t already have this quest, it begins in Tianqiu Valley. It’s easiest to teleport to the waypoint at Nantianmen or Tianqiu Valley to get there quickly.
- Puzzles Overview: There are three separate puzzles you need to solve to activate the altar in the center. The puzzles consist of a jumping puzzle, a fighting puzzle, and a torch lighting puzzle.
- North – Torch Lighting Puzzle: Head to the north temple, and you’ll come across six unlit torches in a triangle formation. Use a Pyro character like Amber to light the torch closest to the chest on the wall. Next, light the torch in the middle of the row closest to the entrance. All six should light up and unlock the chest. Proceed up the steps to the next part of the puzzle. This time, six torches are in a star formation. Each torch you light will also cause the two connecting torches to either light or go out, depending on their current state.
- South – Fighting Puzzle: The south temple contains the most straightforward puzzle of the bunch. Each floor has waves of enemies you must defeat before the timer runs out. Pick a strong team composition with elements that synergize together. Work your way through each floor, and that’s all you need to do. After completing the third puzzle, you can turn it in. A wave of enemies will spawn and try to steal your precious loot. Defeat them all, and three chests will spawn with your reward.
To get started on the Tianqiu Treasure Trail, here’s what you need to do:
- Talk to Lan in Liyue to start the quest.
- After obtaining the World Quest from Lan, head over to the waypoint east of Dunyu Ruins. Next to the waypoint, you’ll encounter a few appropriate world level hilichurls. Defeat them to obtain a Secret Treasure map. You can pull this up at any time by browsing the quest items tab of your bag.
- You should then receive three clues for nearby treasures. The Strange Note reads: A Giant tree, flourishing and lush. Within, it holds a previous stash. Right in the middle, follow the road. Seek, and the riches shall be bestowed. With so many steps to climb for good measure, descend and you shall find the hidden treasure.
- Follow the Treasure Map to find the treasure. Solve the puzzles in the different temples (North, West, South) to progress. Use a Pyro character to light the torches in the North temple. Jump and fight to solve the puzzles in the West and South temples. Light up all lanterns with a pyro attack in the South temple.
- Completing the quest awards the Parametric Transformer gadget.
