Ah, Bennett. Genshin Impact’s favorite embodiment of Murphy’s Law, packed in a cheerful Adventurer’s Guild-loving personality. The type who stumbles over flat ground and triggers every trap. Still, he comes out smiling, ready for the next disaster. And speaking of disasters, let’s discuss lightning. In Teyvat, weather feels personal.

Lightning Strikes and Shady Trees: Genshin Weather Report

First, can the sky target you for lightning? Yes, it can. Genshin Impact is not just about scenic views and collecting characters. It also has environmental hazards, like angry and crackling electricity from above.

When lightning fixes on you, it strikes more than once. One bolt hits, and another is already chasing you. This isn’t a friendly zap; it is a furious aerial assault of raw energy. Standing still invites a crispy fate. The game turns into a frantic dodging challenge. Even in a fantasy world, cardio matters.

And don’t think you are safe in the air. Lightning in Genshin Impact ignores “gravity.” So, it will hit you mid-flight. Yes, the game zaps you from the sky. Forget a graceful glide; it’s a shocking faceplant awaiting you.

If regular lightning was not enough, Inazuma introduced lightning trees. During the “Sakura Arborism” quest in Kannazuka, you’ll meet these electrifying trees. These aren’t friendly trees providing shade; they unleash havoc and conduct sparks through your unsuspecting Traveler.

Luckily, these aggressive shrubs don’t stay long. The Sakura Arborism quest is about healing these troubled trees. Once you heal them (possibly with some Traveler magic), they settle down. They turn into peaceful trees, no longer mad at unwitting passersby. So, the cure for angry trees? A touch of gardening, Genshin style.

Bennett: Unlucky Lad, Unbelievably Strong Support

Now back to Bennett, who seems to summon misfortune like a magnet. Why does Bennett endure such bad luck? The game doesn’t clarify, but a theory circles – the Natlan curse. Natlan, the Pyro nation, remains a mystery. Some believe it carries a curse for anyone born there.

Supporting this idea is Natlan’s lack of NPC presence in the game. It feels like Natlan is Teyvat’s Bermuda Triangle—residents have disappeared. If Bennett is from Natlan, this curse explains his continuous misadventures. Maybe it is not just clumsiness; perhaps it is destiny.

Despite his streak of bad luck, Bennett stays positive, driven by his Vision. You may wonder, does Bennett have a Vision? Yes, he does—a fiery Pyro one that shines bright despite his misfortunes. Bennett sees his Vision as hope; a divine sign that he isn’t written off yet. This symbol represents his resilience given his unconventional upbringing.

Bennett grew up among retired adventurers in Mondstadt’s Adventurers’ Guild. He refers to them fondly as “dads.” They believed in him when life felt like a comedic tragedy. His Vision reminds him that his “dads” never abandoned him, nor have the gods (or at least he hopes so).

Now onto the exciting part: why is this disaster magnet valued as a strong character? It sounds paradoxical, right? Bennett’s strength lies not in damage (though he can do that). His true power comes from incredible support skills. His Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, showcases his prowess.

This Burst generates an Inspiration Field that heals allies and boosts their attacks based on Bennett’s base attack. It’s a strong combination making him a vital support character in many teams. He serves as a healer and attack booster rolled into one unlucky package.

Bennett’s builds can vary too. You can focus on healing, making him an efficient HP resource for your team. Alternatively, gear him towards damage to become a Pyro damage dealer, retaining excellent support abilities. This versatility adds to his enduring charm and strength.

His constellations enhance his skills further. It’s true that Bennett “shines brightest” with his first constellation called “Grand Expectation.” This removes the HP restriction on his attack buff. As a result, the buff applies to characters above 70% HP. This change makes C1 Bennett highly sought after.

However, a constellation problem exists with Bennett – his C6, “Fire Ventures with Me.” Activating it fills his Burst field with Pyro, changing physical damage to Pyro for characters within. This can benefit specific Pyro teams but may complicate elemental reactions, reducing effectiveness with particular compositions. C6 can be risky; many players opt not to activate it for versatility.

Despite his woes, Bennett has friends, including Razor from the Adventurer’s Guild in Mondstadt. Their friendship shows Bennett’s nature; even Razor appreciates Bennett’s relentless positivity.

And there’s Barbara. Oh, Barbara. Bennett secretly admires Mondstadt’s idol. He loves her voice lines; their lore hints at a special bond. It adds sweetness to his character and showcases his awkward but charming personality.

Bennett forms strong team compositions with Pyro DPS characters like Klee, who gain from his Pyro resonance and boosts. Xiao, the Anemo Yaksha, benefits from his healing and attack boost in plunge-focused teams. Cryo DPS like Ganyu thrive off Bennett for melt compositions, increasing overall damage.

For Bennett’s own build, Energy Recharge is critical. To maintain his Elemental Burst consistently, aim for 200-250% ER. This amount may vary based on team needs and skill usage, but ER remains essential for consistent buffing and healing.

Lastly, let’s touch on Mare Jivari. This mysterious spot seems tied to Bennett’s past. Details remain vague, but he was likely saved from a location similar to Mare Jivari when he was a baby. The adventurer who rescued him, Hans Archibald, sadly died before escaping. Mare Jivari features a harsh landscape in Natlan, perhaps explaining Bennett’s origin linked to the curse.

Can Bennett buff himself? The answer is a definite yes! For a Main DPS build (yes, that exists), he does buff his Elemental Burst. He enters his Inspiration Field to enjoy the attack buff and Pyro application.

turning himself into a surprisingly capable damage dealer.

Bennett’s Backstory: From Orphan to Unlucky Hero

What does Bennett “go off of”? It’s likely a playful question about his nature. Bennett goes off bad luck and unwavering optimism. His backstory tells of adoption and unexpected family.

Why does Bennett have two dads or many dads? In Mondstadt’s Adventurers’ Guild, older adventurers took him under their wing. They raised him together, giving him affection and guidance. These are the “dads” he loves. It’s a found family born from warmth.

Bennett is an orphan. An elderly adventurer found him abandoned as a baby. This adventurer brought him to Mondstadt. He was raised in the guild. Bennett was not from Mondstadt originally. He arrived as an infant and was adopted into a loving family.

Was Bennett found in Mare Jivari? While not explicitly stated, it’s strongly suggested. A harsh landscape with fire fits Mare Jivari’s rumors perfectly. It adds drama to his backstory. It hints at trauma before he found home in Mondstadt.

Does Bennett have a last name? “Bennett” is an English surname with Anglo-Norman roots. It’s patronymic, meaning it originally referred to the “son of Benedict.” Records date back to the 1200s. So, in a meta-sense, Bennett does have a last name with historical significance, adding flavor to his persona.

Is Bennett an orphan in Genshin? Yes, he was found as a baby and raised by the Adventurers’ Guild. He is an orphan who found family in Mondstadt. Was Bennett adopted? Yes, he was functionally adopted by older adventurers who became his “dads,” offering love, care, and belonging.

Genshin Miscellany: Fireflies, Electro, and Gods of Lightning

Let’s address some other Genshin questions from our briefing. Can you get struck by lightning in Genshin Impact? Yes, absolutely.

What does Xiao scale off of? For the brooding Yaksha, Xiao’s damage scales from ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and DMG Bonus. Stack those stats for his plunge attack victory.

How do you get fireflies in Genshin? To find fireflies, venture out at night. They like bamboo shoots or appear when you start whacking bushes. So, nighttime bushwhacking near bamboo is your strategy.

Is there electricity in Genshin Impact? Yes, through the Electro element. In the narrative, Electro is implied to be the third element the Traveler resonates with during their journey.

Who triggers Burning in Genshin Impact? Burning triggers when Pyro meets Dendro. It’s a continuous Pyro damage reaction that persists until it burns out. Pyro and Dendro create fiery chaos.

What kills Electro in Genshin Impact? Pyro is the go-to element for dealing with Electro Hypostases. Overload is helpful in this fight.

What damages Electro in Genshin Impact? Electro attacks can indirectly damage by electro-charging water. If Electro hits water, it becomes electrified. Anyone stepping in it takes Electro damage. Electrified puddles are dangerous.

Who is the god of lightning in Genshin Impact? That would be Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon of Inazuma. She is responsible for the lightning in Inazuma.

Finally, what element is weak to Dendro? Dendro shields are weak to Pyro. Fire hurts wooden shields, just like in real life. Burning Dendro shields is efficient.

Bennett of “Orange Is the New Black”: A Different Story

Now, let’s talk about a completely different Bennett – from “Orange Is the New Black.” This clears any potential confusion for Netflix bingers about the “OITNB” Bennett.

Does that Bennett ever come back to “Orange Is the New Black” after season 3? Sadly, no. John Bennett, played by Matt McGorry, exits abruptly in season 3. His storyline concludes rather abruptly.

Who got Daya pregnant in “Orange Is the New Black”? Dayanara “Daya” Diaz becomes pregnant by John Bennett. Their relationship is complicated.

Why did Daya shoot guard Thomas Humphrey? During intense chaos and heightened emotions in a riot, Daya grabs Humphrey’s gun and shoots him in the leg. This act leads to Humphrey’s death and marks a turning point for Daya.

There you have it. Two Bennetts, worlds apart. One is Genshin Impact’s unlucky adventurer battling lightning with a smile. Another is John Bennett from “Orange Is the New Black,” whose story takes a dramatically different turn. This should clear up confusion about Genshin’s Bennett and electrifying elements surrounding him.
