Ever wondered where tech geniuses of the Pokémon world go to relax? Let’s talk about Bill, the Pokémon Storage System innovator. He has a cozy place in Goldenrod City. It’s not a mansion, just a small retreat where he takes breaks from coding and Pokémon chaos.

Bill’s Goldenrod City Digs: A Modest Affair

Where is this tech sanctuary? If you’re in Goldenrod City, head west. This area is less flashy, a residential part of town. Bill’s home isn’t grand. It’s described as a “small, modest structure.” No flashy signs or guards, just an understated vibe.

Bill doesn’t live alone. Family ties are strong. This small structure is actually his parents’ house. Imagine Bill in his childhood room, maybe with some pizza boxes and tangled wires. His folks are near the southern entry of the Goldenrod Tunnel. This is useful for a quick escape from Team Rocket or a visit to another city.

Why Bother Visiting Bill’s Goldenrod Home?

So it’s a small home near a tunnel. Why visit, aspiring Pokémon trainer? Bill isn’t just there for family time and snacks. He has gifts! Specifically, an Eevee. But there’s a catch. You have to work for it.

In Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Bill hangs with family in Goldenrod City after crucial work in Ecruteak City. This work involves getting the Time Capsule operational. It’s like a retro-internet for Pokémon, allowing trades across game generations. Once he finishes, Bill generously gifts you an Eevee. It’s a way of saying “thanks for waiting.”

In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the location remains the same: west side of Goldenrod. The Eevee gift remains too. Who wouldn’t want an Eevee? They’re the Swiss Army knives of the Pokémon world, with many evolutions.

But there’s more at Bill’s house than free Pokémon. Remember phone numbers? Bill’s sister will give you his number. Why? To check the Pokémon Storage System! No more trips back to Bill’s Sea Cottage just to manage your Pokémon collection. It’s like having support on speed dial for your digital Pokémon hoard.

Bill’s Other Hideouts: Sea Cottages and Lighthouses

Goldenrod isn’t Bill’s only hangout. He’s got multiple locations, like a tech-savvy Santa Claus. Let’s explore his notable spots.

The Sea Cottage

The Sea Cottage is Bill’s original base. Located northeast of Kanto on Route 25, it’s also just a “small building.” This is where you first meet Bill in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Your first meeting with him is memorable. He’s not himself, having had an accident with a Pokémon fusion machine, leading to some chaos.

Bill’s Lighthouse (Anime Exclusive)

For anime fans, “Bill’s Lighthouse” exists near Cerulean City. It’s not featured in games, but it adds to Bill’s lore. He prefers solitude by the sea, away from city life, except for family visits in Goldenrod.

Bonus Intel: Kenya the Spearow and Eevee Galore

Before we wrap up, here are extra insights. First, Kenya the Spearow. Remember that guy in Goldenrod giving out Kenya? He has important mail for Bill! But you’re just a delivery service. After you deliver, Kenya is gone. No keeping it, just a brief encounter.

Finally, for Eevee fans: in HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can get multiple Eevees from Bill! Once you get one, don’t rush to train it. Go back to Bill’s house. He might offer you another Eevee! Keep visiting; he seems to have an endless supply of these critters.

So that’s it. Bill’s house in Goldenrod City is small, modest, family-centric, and surprisingly generous with Eevees. It may not be glamorous, but it is essential for trainers seeking valuable Pokémon and a connection to a key character in the series. Plus, you get to see where the mind behind the Pokémon Storage System relaxes between coding sessions.
