Stuck with an HM Move? Fear Not, Trainer! We’ve Got the Solution for Pokémon White 2

Ever taught your Pokémon an HM move only to find it useless? We’ve experienced this too. HM moves are sometimes crucial but can hinder battles. They feel like a permanent part of your Pokémon’s move set. But wait! In Pokémon White 2, forgetting HM moves is possible. You just need to know where to go and who to ask.

The Savior We Deserve: The Move Deleter

Meet the Move Deleter. He’s the hero of move management. This NPC erases any move your Pokémon knows, including HMs. He helps you eliminate moves that disrupt your strategy. Think of him as a decluttering expert for your Pokémon’s move list.

You can find the Move Deleter in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 in a couple of places. One popular location is Mistralton City. Locate the house next to the Pokémon Center, and he’ll perform his move-erasing magic there.

There’s more! You can also find him at the Pokémon World Tournament (PWT). Head south of Driftveil City to this battling hub. Inside the PWT, he’s located in the second stall from the southwest. If you’re battling, clean up your Pokémon’s moveset at the same time. Efficiency!

Why All the Fuss About HM Moves Anyway?

Let’s recap what HMs are. Hidden Machines (HMs) and Technical Machines (TMs) teach Pokémon moves. You spot them scattered throughout Pokémon world. This duo is reusable, a blessing when building a perfect team without constant trips to Poke Mart.

However, here’s the HM catch: they are stubborn. Normal moves can be swapped out effortlessly when better options arrive. HMs don’t allow this. Once your Pokémon learns Surf, Strength, or Fly, it sticks…unless you visit the Move Deleter. Imagine deleting Surf and being stranded on an island!

You need Surf and Strength to conquer Unova. Teach them wisely! But remember, you’re not stuck forever. The Move Deleter can help you swap them for better moves.

TMs: The Cooler, More Flexible Cousins of HMs

Now let’s talk TMs (Technical Machines). These are versatile move tutors. Want Thunderbolt? There’s a TM for that. Need Earthquake? TM to the rescue! TMs focus on combat flexibility. Forgetting TMs is easy. Teach a new move, and poof, it’s gone. No special visits needed.

Plus, in Black 2 and White 2, TMs are reusable. Find each one only once and use them freely. Abilities? Moves? TMs cover all bases!

Move Reminder: Bringing Back the Good Old Days (Moves)

Accidentally replaced a beloved move? Or did your Pokémon skip learning one while leveling? That’s where the Move Reminder comes in. This NPC teaches any move your Pokémon could have learned by leveling up. It’s a move-reclamation service! But remember, like other methods, it cannot overwrite HM moves. For HMs, visit the Move Deleter.

Pokémon World Tournament: More Than Just Battles

Returning to the PWT, this place holds more than epic gym battles. It houses crucial NPCs! Located south of Driftveil City, PWT features a ship, hinting at perpetual cruise season in Pokémon world! Beyond the Move Deleter, the PWT contains a Move Reminder and several Move Tutors. Need to relearn a move or teach exclusive attacks? The PWT is your hub. Move Tutors await you!

Quick Tip: Soft Reset – Your Undo Button

Mistakes happen in Pokémon world. Maybe you used your Master Ball on a Rattata (who hasn’t?). If hunting for a rare Shiny Pokémon, you might want to reset encounters quickly. Here’s where Soft Reset shines! In Black 2 and White 2, press and hold the L, R, Start, and Select buttons; this restarts your game at the last save point, undoing actions quickly.

Finding a Shiny Pokémon? The odds are around 1 in 8192 – use soft resetting if you’re a dedicated Shiny hunter! Just note some Pokémon like Reshiram in White 2 are “Shiny locked,” meaning they never appear Shiny.

Exploring Unova: Mistralton City and Beyond

Mistralton City hosts the Move Deleter, but it also deserves a visit for Skyla’s Gym, led by Flying-type expert Skyla. Additionally, check out Opelucid City with its Dragon-type Gym Leader Drayden. For post-game action in Pokémon White 2, catch Reshiram at N’s Castle after beating the Pokémon League. Plenty awaits in Unova!

Move Tutors in Driftveil City and Beyond

Driftveil City offers its own Move Tutor and is near the PWT. It’s where you first meet a Move Tutor in-game. These tutors grant powerful and exclusive moves to Pokémon’s arsenal. Explore every city and talk to every NPC; hidden teaching opportunities abound!

So that’s it, Trainers! Forgetting HM moves in Pokémon White 2 is possible and straightforward once you know where to find the Move Deleter. Whether in Mistralton City or at the bustling PWT, relief from unwanted HMs is just around the corner. Customize those movesets and conquer Unova!
