Where to Find Shouta in Genshin Impact: Your Guide to This Elusive NPC

Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG full of life. Teyvat is home to many characters. It’s not only about the flashy heroes you chase. Everyday NPCs fill the towns, villages, and wilderness. They may seem trivial, but some are useful. Then there’s Shouta.

Shouta, not a common name among Travelers, is an open-world NPC. He won’t give multi-stage quests or drop legendary artifacts. But if you need specific creepy-crawly resources, Shouta is the one to find. Well, he’s young. So technically, your kid.

Unmasking Shouta: The Inazuma City Dweller

Where do you find Shouta in Genshin Impact? Grab your teleporting wings. Head to Inazuma. Specifically, make your way to Inazuma City. This electro-charged nation is where Shouta hangs out. He prefers the bustling city over the wilds of Yashiori Island or Mikage Furnace.

Inazuma City is large, but Shouta isn’t hidden away. He’s easy to spot while living his NPC life. It’s like a scavenger hunt, less intense than trying to find a dandelion seed in Mondstadt during a storm. No treasure compass or Paimon’s strange navigation skills needed.

The First Encounter: A Gift of Beetles

Why seek out Shouta? It’s not just to greet each digital resident of Teyvat. There’s a practical reward for your first meeting with Shouta: Onikabuto.

Yes, those purple, lightning-infused beetles cling to Inazuma’s trees and rocks. If you’ve leveled Electro characters like Arataki Itto or the Raiden Shogun, you know Onikabuto well. They are essential ascension materials. Farming can be tedious without knowing where to look. Shouta helps by boosting your beetle collection.

When you talk to Shouta the first time and pick the right dialogue options (not difficult at all), he’ll give you four Onikabuto. Four! In today’s economy? That’s a deal. While four might not seem like a lot for leveling to 90, it’s a great start for newer players or those always low on insectile materials.

It’s like a friendly NPC lending you a hand, or in this case, a handful of beetles. It’s way better than NPCs offering cryptic advice or sending you on wild goose chases for used cabbages.

Why Onikabuto? The Beetle Breakdown

So Shouta gives you Onikabuto. Why are these purple critters so important? As said earlier, Onikabuto are ascension materials for Electro characters from Inazuma. If you build characters like:

  • Arataki Itto
  • Raiden Shogun
  • Kuki Shinobu
  • Yae Miko

You will need many Onikabuto—hundreds. Farming them means running around Inazuma, looking at trees and cliffs, and carefully plucking them off. It can be relaxing for some or tedious for others. Having a reliable source like Shouta simplifies your beetle-gathering.

Beyond ascension, Onikabuto don’t have many uses. They aren’t cooking ingredients and they aren’t in crafting recipes (for now). Their main purpose is to power your Electro characters’ growth. If you’re passionate about Electro characters or keeping pace with the meta, Shouta’s beetle gift is a small but helpful boost.

Inazuma City: More Than Just Beetles and Boys

While searching for Shouta and his Onikabuto in Inazuma City, take a moment to enjoy the scenery. Inazuma City is the heart of the Electro nation. It has vibrant culture, lively markets, and political intrigue. This city respects tradition yet faces change and outside pressures.

Beyond Shouta, Inazuma City offers plenty for the keen Traveler:

  • Shops and vendors: Buy local specialties, cooking ingredients, and weapon ascension materials.
  • Reputation quests: Complete tasks for Inazuma citizens to unlock rewards.
  • Daily Commissions: Pick up tasks and earn Primogems while exploring the city.
  • Scenic views: Inazuma City has stunning architecture and vibrant colors. Snap photos for your travel diary!

Your main goal is to grab those four free Onikabuto from Shouta. But don’t hesitate to explore Inazuma City as well. You may discover hidden gems or helpful NPCs. Just watch out for samurai and commissions seeking power.

In conclusion, Shouta is a minor but notable NPC in Genshin Impact, living in Inazuma City and giving four Onikabuto on the first meet. He’s not a game-changer, but he’s useful for players who need beetles. So next time you’re in Inazuma City, meet Shouta and grab your buggy bounty. Every bit helps in Genshin Impact’s expansive world.
