Should You Pull for Kazuha? Let’s Break it Down.

Kaedehara Kazuha is renowned in Genshin Impact. Players call him the best support character. They are not wrong. But should you spend Primogems on him? Let’s examine if Kazuha belongs on your team or if you should wait for another banner.

Is Kazuha Worth Pulling? The General Consensus

So, is Kazuha really great? Most players think YES. He is not just a fad; he is a solid choice for account investment. Why? He builds easily and fits into many team setups. No need for endless hours spent on artifacts or team synergies. Kazuha simply performs well.

Need a support who buffs, controls crowds, and applies elements? Kazuha excels in all these areas. His talents, the Viridescent Venerer set, and his Elemental Skill make him a top-tier support. His Skill and Burst deliver fantastic AOE and elemental applications. More reactions lead to more damage. Kazuha is great for Spiral Abyss or general exploration.

Kazuha Versus The Competition: Who Comes Out on Top?

Let’s compare Kazuha to other characters. How does he measure against popular choices? This matters when deciding where to spend those Primogems.

Kazuha vs. Raiden Shogun

Raiden Shogun or Kazuha? A tough call. It depends on your team needs. If you have a strong damage dealer like Eula, Raiden is ideal. They work well together, boosting Eula’s damage significantly. If you need a universal support, Kazuha is the better option for versatility and group control.

Kazuha vs. Venti

Venti is known for crowd control. His Burst creates impressive swirl reactions against weaker enemies. However, Venti struggles against heavy enemies. Kazuha shines here with a larger AOE on his Burst. His control is more consistent against tougher foes, making him the better choice in those scenarios.

Kazuha vs. Sucrose

Sucrose can mimic some of Kazuha’s abilities. They focus on Anemo support and Elemental Mastery. Yet despite their similarities, their buffs differ. Sucrose has 4-star weapon options like Iron Sting, giving her an edge. Still, Kazuha proves easier to use with better performance in team setups overall.

Kazuha vs. Neuvillette

Comparing Neuvillette and Kazuha reveals their different roles. Neuvillette shines as Main DPS, while Kazuha offers support. You might choose Neuvillette if lacking a damage carry. If you already have strong Anemo characters, Kazuha may be less necessary at the moment.

Kazuha vs. Kinich (and Xilonen – likely typos)

Kinich and Xilonen may be typos or less-known characters. If so, let’s focus on Kazuha’s strengths against other supports. Kazuha integrates easily into various teams needing crowd control and elemental damage. He stands out among Anemo supports for his versatility.

Kazuha’s Roles: Jack of All Trades, Master of Many

Kazuha is not limited to one role; he excels in many areas.

Support Supreme

Kazuha is arguably the best support in Genshin Impact. He buffs Pyro, Electro, Hydro, and Cryo damage dealers effectively. He uses the Viridescent Venerer set to shred enemy resistances while buffing team damage based on the element he swirls. His A4 passive talent adds massive buffs for the party.

Sub-DPS Potential

Though primarily a support character, Kazuha can also act as sub-DPS. His Skill and Burst deal decent damage, especially with an Elemental Mastery build, ensuring consistent off-field damage while providing essential support buffs.

DPS Capabilities? Surprisingly Yes

Kazuha can be built as Main DPS, even at Constellation 0 (C0). This isn’t his primary role, but he can perform well in Anemo-focused teams. It’s not optimal but shows his flexibility.

Crowd Control King

Kazuha offers excellent crowd control. His Elemental Skill groups enemies to make attacks smoother. It eases dealing with mobs and enhances efficiency.

Elemental Application Expert

Kazuha excels in applying elements effectively. His Skill and Burst generate Anemo over wide areas, triggering swirl reactions and expanding elemental effects. This optimizes reaction-based damage output.

Team Composition Virtuoso

Kazuha is adaptable in team compositions. Whether Electro-Charged, Vaporize, Melt, or Freeze, he enhances them all. He’s also perfect for mono-element teams, showcasing his brilliance across various archetypes.

Building Your Kazuha: Stats and Priorities

Building Kazuha is simple, enhancing his appeal further. Let’s outline the key stats and what to prioritize.

Level 90: Go All the Way

Leveling Kazuha to 90 is crucial. Swirl damage scales with character level significantly. Maximizing his level means maximizing reaction damage.

Elemental Mastery (EM): The Heart of the Build

Elemental Mastery reigns supreme for Kazuha’s support role. His damage scales with Normal Attack Talent level and Elemental Mastery. When building for support, prioritize EM main stats on artifacts: EM/EM/EM. Boosting EM increases the damage buff he provides when triggering Swirl reactions.

Energy Recharge (ER): Bursting on Cooldown

Kazuha requires Energy Recharge for consistent Burst usage—key to his support role. His Energy needs vary based on team composition and other factors.

playstyle. Without a Favonius Sword, expect to need 190-215% ER if he is the only Anemo character. This is true, especially if you use his Hold Skill often. If you have another Anemo character or use specific artifact sets like 4TF, your ER needs decrease. Manage your ER for consistent Burst uptime.

Crit Rate? Not Really

Crit Rate is largely irrelevant for an EM support Kazuha. Focus on EM and ER to maximize support potential. Crit stats become relevant in a DPS build, but for a support build, ignore Crit.

Normal Attack Talent? Secondary Importance

Kazuha’s damage does scale with his Normal Attack Talent level, but it’s not a priority for support. Focus on leveling Elemental Skill and Burst talents first. Only consider Normal Attack talent for a hybrid or DPS build.

Kazuha’s Arsenal: Weapon Choices

Choosing the right weapon for Kazuha boosts his performance. Here are excellent options, from premium to accessible.

Freedom-Sworn: The Signature and Best-in-Slot

Freedom-Sworn is Kazuha’s signature weapon. Unsurprisingly, it is his best-in-slot option. It boosts Elemental Mastery and offers team buffs. It is an amazing weapon, but as a 5-star gacha weapon, it can cost many Primogems. Consider the investment based on your budget.

Iron Sting: Craftable and Fantastic

Iron Sting is a craftable 4-star weapon. It is one of Kazuha’s best accessible options. No refinements are needed for effectiveness. Its Elemental Mastery substat directly boosts Kazuha’s support capabilities. It’s an excellent and budget-friendly choice.

Xiphos’ Moonlight: Energy and EM in One

Xiphos’ Moonlight is a strong 4-star option, especially if energy recharge is an issue. It boosts Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery, addressing Kazuha’s key stats. It is a fantastic all-around weapon for him.

Favonius Sword: For Energy Needs

If reaching your Energy Recharge threshold is challenging, Favonius Sword is a solid choice. Its Energy Recharge substat and passive ability can help ensure consistent Burst uptime. However, using it may require sacrificing some EM stats. If your ER is too low (below 170-180%), consider switching to Favonius Sword.

Weapon Banner: Gacha Gamble

A word on the weapon banner: it is tempting to pull for Freedom-Sworn, but understand the risks. Unlike character banners, there’s a 75% chance to get one of the two featured weapons. However, there is still a 25% chance to get an off-banner 5-star weapon. Weigh the pros and cons before investing.

Kazuha’s Constellations: Are They Worth It?

Kazuha is great at C0, but constellations do bring improvements. Let’s look at C1.

C1: Scarlet Hills – A Nice, But Not Essential, Boost

Kazuha’s C1, Scarlet Hills, reduces his Elemental Skill cooldown by 10%. More importantly, it resets the cooldown when you use his Elemental Burst. This gives a nice boost to personal damage and energy generation. C1 isn’t a must-have but is a step towards C2, which boosts team EM when Kazuha Bursts.

Other Things to Consider About Kazuha

Beyond stats and builds, Kazuha has other factors that make him stand out. His character design is appealing. For many players, his aesthetic draws them in, enhancing the player experience.

Kazuha’s damage scales with Normal Attack Talent and Elemental Mastery. While EM is the priority for support builds, this scaling offers flexibility for hybrid or DPS builds.

For leveling Kazuha, farming materials from Maguu Kenki is efficient. Marionette Cores from this boss are necessary, alongside other materials. Efficient farming is key to getting Kazuha combat-ready.

To conclude, Kazuha is a top-tier support character worth pulling for most players. His versatility makes him a valuable addition to any account. Whether you are a veteran or just starting, Kazuha elevates your team. If you’re undecided, lean towards pulling – you likely won’t regret it.
